The new generation CX-9 continues to impress the mid-size SUV community, providing new upgrades for 2018. Among the new features are Smart City Brake Support, blind-spot monitoring, Lane-Keep Assist, and Rear Cross Traffic alert.

The CX-9 comes in four different trims including Sport, Touring, Grand Touring, and Signature. On the outside, the Sports version arrives with a set of 18" aluminum-alloy wheels, LED headlights and taillights, keyless entry, and dual exhaust outlets. Inside you'll encounter the MAZDA CONNECT™ infotainment system armed with voice commands, hands-free connectivity, and even an SMS text message audio delivery and reply function. A 7" touchscreen control panel and display give you a clear picture of the also standard rearview camera. 3-rows of cloth seating will accommodate up to 7 passengers, making this a wise choice for a family. Stepping up, the Touring version will add more features including a rear liftgate with programmable height adjustment and heated outside mirrors. Interior-wise, you'll enjoy an upgraded 8" touch-screen and leather-trimmed seating. Also added to the trim are Lane-Keep Assist, Lane Departure Warning, and the Mazda Radar Cruise Control with Stop & Go. The Grand Touring model introduces a nice set of 20" wheels, front and rear parking sensors, and a power sliding moonroof. Notable too are a leather interior, Navigation system, and a Bose® Centerpoint® Surround system with AudioPilot® and 12 speakers. Exclusive to the Signature CX-9 interior is Rosewood inlays and Auburn Nappa leather for a high-end experience. Also unique to the Signature trim are accent lighting in the ceiling and grille among other features. Upgrading to a 4-wheel drive system will bring you the highly advanced MAZDA i-ACTIV AWD®.

Strong Performer Across the Board

2018 Mazda CX-9 FrontRegardless of trim, all CX-9 units come standard with a SKYACTIV® G 2.5T, a 4-cylinder engine with Dynamic Pressure Turbo and 250 horsepower. This power plant is not only strong but also efficient, even in a family vehicle this size. The three lower models receive an mpg rating of 29 mpg highway, while the top model is estimated at 26 mpg.

Safety Features that Set The Tone
