On the 2018 Mazda CX-3, there are three available trims: Sport, Touring, and Grand Touring. The CX-3 has two rows of seats for accommodating up to five people. Cargo space measures at 12.4 cubic feet, with the option of folding down the seats to expand it to 44.5 cubic feet. The Sport's standard comfort and convenience features include cruise control, push-button engine start, voice command technology, Bluetooth® wireless technology for hands-free phone calling and audio streaming, a USB data port and auxiliary audio jack for playing music from your mobile devices, six-speaker audio, an AM/FM radio tuner, a single-disc CD/MP3 player, hands-free text messaging ability, and the Mazda Connect™ infotainment system with a 7-inch color touchscreen. Upgrading to the Touring replaces the cloth seating surfaces with leatherette, and heating capability added on the front seats. The top-of-the-line trim, the Grand Touring, has a lot more upgrades and additions. The model gets full leather on all seats to maximize comfortability and make the cabin more upscale. Under The Hood

2018 Mazda CX-3 FrontInside the Mazda CX-3 is the PE-VPS, which bears the distinction of being the first SkyActiv-G engine ever produced ("SkyActiv" being the brand name for a series of technologies that Mazda developed to increase fuel efficiency and engine output). A 2.0-liter inline 4-cylinder engine, the PE-VPS generates 146 horsepower and 146 lb-ft of torque. It has a 6-speed automatic transmission for ultimate convenience in gear shifting. However, it comes with a manual-shift mode to simulate manual gear shifting, as well as a Sports mode for tightening the powertrain for a more thrilling driving feel. The Grand Touring takes a step further with the addition of steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters. That way, you do not necessarily need to rely on the transmission shifter; you can depend on the paddle shifters for faster shift times. On the CX-3, you have the choice between the front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive. Front-wheel drive is the apparent drivetrain to go with if you want to maximize fuel economy: at 29 mpg in the city and 34 mpg on the highway. On the other hand, all-wheel drive is the obvious choice if you want better traction ability, especially when driving on slippery surfaces.
